BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY - Area Premiere Book, Music and Lyrics by Paul Scott Goodman Note: This production contains adult themes and language.
Inspired by Jay McInerney’s groundbreaking 1984 novel, this contemporary rock musical chronicles the life of a yuppie New Yorker who seems to have it all: a successful model for a wife, a job at a prestigious magazine and plenty of wild friends. Then the lights of the city begin to dim as he struggles with the reality of divorce, his mother’s death and a drug addiction. Ultimately, he escapes the downward spiral and learns valuable lessons about family, loss, love ... and hope.
“Goodman’s music is exhilarating: it convincingly evokes the sound of 1980s rock without resorting to parody.” – TalkinBroadway

THE SECRET GARDEN Music by Lucy Simon Book and Lyrics by Marsha Norman Adapted from the book by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Based on the cherished book from 1909, this moving musical tells the story of a young girl who must move to England to live with her uncle after the death of her parents in India. Along the way she brings back to life, not only a garden, but also those who surround her. This beautiful show teaches us that through adverse situations, we often find hope and life renewed. Atmospheric and haunting, “The Secret Garden” will transport audiences to another time and place.
“A splendid, intelligent musical ... it’s all you can hope for in theatre.” —U.S.A. Today

ZANNA DON’T! - Area Premiere Music by Tim Acito Book and Lyrics by Tim Acito and Alexander Dinelaris
This hip musical fairy tale takes place in a topsy-turvy world where homosexuality is the norm and heterosexuals must battle anti-straight prejudice. Set in a high school, the plot revolves around a teenage ‘matchmaker’ and the scandal that erupts when a boy and girl dare fall in love. The show delivers a humorous and hopeful message of tolerance through an infectious pop-inspired score, hearty dollops of humor, and, of course, a dab of magic!
“A chirpy new Off Broadway musical... with a pop score that aims to be nothing but catchy and a message that says nothing but that people should love each other...” – New York Times
